01Our original-content policy
Creators may not publish content they have no right to publish (stolen, re-uploaded without permission, or posted under someone else's name). The verified-creator badge is given to accounts whose identity and work have been reviewed.
02How to report
The fastest way is the “Report” (flag) button on the mod page. Your report should include:
- A description of the work you own and (if any) a link to the original publication.
- The address of the ModsPoint page you believe infringes.
- Information identifying you or the rights holder you represent, and a reply email.
- A statement that the report is made in good faith and the information is accurate.
If you are the rights holder and want to file a formal copyright (DMCA) notice, use the DMCA notice form: it asks for your identity, a description of the work, a good-faith statement and a signature. If you can't use it, write the same details via the contact page.
03What happens next
- The report is reviewed by an admin; the creator may be asked for an explanation and proof of work.
- If the infringement is confirmed the content is removed; the creator is notified and, depending on severity, the account receives a strike.
- After three strikes the account is suspended and the verified-creator badge is removed.
- If the mod's owner believes the content is theirs or lawful, they can send a counter-notice from the Copyright notices page in their dashboard; it is reviewed separately and the mod is restored if upheld.
