Terms of service

ModsPoint is a platform where game mods are presented and the community meets. Most mods are hosted on third-party sites; ModsPoint provides the listing page and the link, not the files themselves.

• You must give accurate information and verify your email address; unverified accounts cannot comment, post, message or upload.
• You are responsible for your account and password; we recommend enabling two-factor authentication. Tell us immediately if you notice suspicious activity.
• You may not open accounts in someone else's name, transfer your account or inflate ratings/comments with multiple accounts.

Download links may lead to sites chosen by the creator. ModsPoint is not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of those sites. We recommend scanning files before opening them. You install mods at your own risk and are responsible for following the game's own terms (for example mod restrictions in online modes).

• You may upload only content that you created or have permission to publish. Stolen content, unauthorised re-uploads and posting under someone else's name are prohibited.
• You must be a verified creator to upload mods, and the information you give for verification must be accurate.
• You keep the rights to what you upload. You grant ModsPoint a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site and in promotion of the content; the licence ends when you remove it.
• Information on your mod page (description, version, game compatibility, link) must be accurate.

• Links to copyright-infringing, stolen or malicious files (viruses, credential stealers).
• Insults, harassment, hate speech, sharing personal information without consent, spam and misleading ads.
• Fake accounts, fake ratings/comments, manipulating votes or ad counters.
• Technical attempts to harm the site or other users (abusing vulnerabilities, automated scraping and uploading, etc.).

Every mod, comment, post and profile has a “report” option. After a valid report the content is removed and the account receives a strike; after three strikes the account is suspended and the verified-creator badge is removed. For serious violations we may close an account without prior strikes. See the copyright page for details.

Homepage showcase and promotion slots are open only to verified creators, require approval by our team and can run for at most 2 months in a row. Ad content must comply with these terms and the law; non-compliant ads may be removed.

The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation or that mods are free of problems. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for third-party files, damage mods cause to your game or computer, or indirect losses.

We may update these terms from time to time. Important changes are announced on the site; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current terms.
